I graduated from Orangefield High School in 2004. I also graduated from Lamar State College-Orange in 2007 and Lamar University in 2008.
I have an Associates degree in Liberal Arts from Lamar State College-Orange and a Bachelors degree from Lamar University in General Studies. I have a Generalist Early Childhood-4th grade teaching certificate.

I have been with LCMCISD since August 2008, where I completed student teaching in first grade. After student teaching, I began a long-term substitute teaching from January 2009 to May 2010. In August 2010, I obtained a full-time teaching position in Kindergarten and Little Cypress Elementary! After teaching Kindergarten for 4 years, I took the opportunity to gain other grade level experience and moved to third grade to teach Math, Science and Social Studies! This is my 13th year as a classroom teacher.
Before becoming a teacher, I worked for Kroger for 9 years. I started out as a cashier when I was 16, worked my way up to floor supervisor and then to the hiring manager/payroll clerk.
I am married to my husband, Grant. We have one son named Jayce and a brand new baby girl named Corley! I also have 2 mini Dauschunds, named Gemma and Olive "Ollie". Gemma is a spitfire and keeps my husband and I on our toes! She loves to make up her own games to play. Her favorite toy is her ball! Gemma’s sister, Olive aka"Ollie" is also a mini Dauschund. Ollie is super sweet and loves to cuddle. She loves to play wih her sister. She has taught her big sister, Gemma how to share lol.
My hobbies are cooking and baking! I also love to make crafts and to travel...over the summer of course!!!
