Teacher
I graduated from Little Cypress-Mauriceville in 1984. I attended McNeese State University and then transferred to Lamar University in Beaumont for my Elementary Education Degree.
When graduating from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, I began my teaching experience by teaching Kindergarten at St. Mary School in Orange, Texas for 8 years. I then became a stay-home mom for several years to be home with my 2 children. In 2008, I began teaching at Little Cypress Elementary and my teaching experience has been in 1st and 2nd grade.
Hello, my name is Mrs. Beth Manuel. I have been married to Ty Manuel for 31 years. We both graduated from LCM High School. We have been blessed with two children. My son, Trent, graduated in 2014 from LCM High School, attended McNeese State University and graduated in 2017 with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He currently lives and works in Lake Charles. My daughter, Brooke, graduated in 2016 from LCM High School and graduated from McNeese State University in 2020. She is currently furthering her education to become a Physical Therapist.
After graduating from college, I started my teaching career at St. Mary Catholic School in Orange, Texas. I taught Kindergarten there for 8 wonderful years and loved every minute of it. I then decided to stay home and be a "mom" for the next several years. Once my kids were older, I decided to join the work force again and was very blessed to get to teach at LCE. I started in 2nd grade and then moved to 1st grade where I have stayed and have loved every minute of it. My heart is in teaching younger children and love their excitement for learning and sense of adventure.
Besides teaching, I have several other interests. My family and I attend St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange and are involved in the music, youth, and lectoring ministries. I love to be with family and friends and enjoy shopping, swimming, boating, going to movies, as well as other activities.
I consider myself very blessed to get to be a part of your child's life. I hope to do my best to help them enjoy learning and succeed to the best of their ablility.
